Good morning future wives! I know it is now Saturday morning but I am up and was thinking about the ladies and even fellas who want to be celibate but are out with their friends having a good time. I wonder what happens when my future wives or future husbands are having good time and meet someone? What if that chemistry is strong and you end up inviting this person back to your place? What if you only meant to have them for coffee and it turn to dessert as well? ( you know what I mean by dessert and it is not the sweet stuff on the table lol)
I want to share a bible verse on temptation because that is a battle we as celibate man and woman go through. Most get this idea that as soon as we become celibate, we automatically lose our sexuality. They feel like we just think of sex as a sin and we walk around a prude! That is not the case! Celibacy is really hard at first!! You have no idea how many people have gave in to sex at the start of their celibacy journey. I for one slipped up twice and had to make that choice to stop falling for that same sexual need because sex without love or God is really meaningless and you will only feel empty afterwards because you deep down knew this person was not the one! So I want to encourage those who are going through temptations to read this and get it into their spirits the next time they are out having a good time with friends. Let’s get to the bible verse of the morning.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
This verse is basically saying that we can not be more tempted that is beyond our control. God always have a way out of any situation. That answer is usually prayer and the good ole fashion removing yourself from a tempting situation. You will not be able to fight if you stick around that temptation. It is hard to walk away but think of how you will feel when you finally fight back! It’s a great feeling not to let a temptation take over and control you! It is amazing and I want my future wives and husbands to have that same feeling!
Fight that temptation with the word and walk away! I pray someone who is reading this get the courage to fight back!
